It's a Blog Hop, which means my blog post today is linked up to other bento bloggers, so you can click on the link at the end of my post to go to the next blogger, and then the next... until you would eventually end up back here. It's one, big happy circle of Pirate lunch ideas today! But the thing that makes this Blog Hop special, is it's also a BIG giveaway!

Arrr, What do you need to do?  Every blog in the Hop has a piece of the map to the Bento Booty Treasure - a giveaway sponsored by All Things For Sale! As you go through the hop, collect the pieces and put them in the correct order to discover the location URL of where to enter to win! Savvy?

Yarrr, What do you need? You'll probably need some parchment and quill, since there are 39 bento blogs to hop through! Visit each blog, admire the cute lunches, and write down their piece of the map - mine is "F" as shown below:

Now what did I make for lunch,  do ye ask? In honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day, I decided I had to make a lunch based on my favorite pirate movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest".

It contains shell pasta salad with peas, diced chicken sausage, and cheese "starfish". And front and center is  my Jack Sparrow on a Stick fruit kabob! I love that scene from the movie SO much, that I decided to show you a clip ( it'll help explain what's going on if you haven't seen the movie):

Also in my lunch is some dice made of pepper "Jack"cheese with nori dots, on top of some cucumbers and sugar snap peas. (In the movie, Will Turner plays a game of chance with dice to try to win his father's freedom from the very evil Davy Jones.)

And how could I have a Dead Man's Chest lunch without that famous Jar of Dirt?  It's actually crushed cookie crumbs to sprinkle on top of one of my mini cheesecakes that's kind of squished in the corner there.  The Jar of Dirt comes complete with Davy Jones' heart in it - a raspberry!
It really was a yummy lunch - all 4 of us had bites of it, and even the jar of dirt cheesecake was delish!

I even had enough pirate-y inspiration left over to make a snack - Davy Jones himself! He's made from a chicken sausage with a blue corn tortilla chip hat:

Pretty menacing, right? ha ha

Now hop on over to Sarah of More than your Average Mom to see her pirate lunch, and get her piece of the puzzle - by either clicking the link above, or clicking on the blog hop button below, and good luck be with ye!
