Christmas Pita Sandwich Bento

simple way to dress up a sandwich for Christmas!

Here's a fun lunch I made for my son in a Lunchbots Bento Uno. It's a simple tuna sandwich on pita bread, accompanied by a salad made from grape tomatoes, cucumber chunks, goat cheese, and my Italian Tomato Vinaigrette. On the other side I made a simple fruit salad from raspberries, pineapple, and kiwi that I cut with a little star cookie cutter.

easy way to add a fun touch to lunch!

My favorite thing about this lunch is the snap pea Christmas tree. It was so easy to make! I threaded snap peas on a wooden skewer, and threaded a little carrot on the top. I did have to cut the skewer down to fit on the sandwich, but I was able to just do it with a knife.

snap peas and carrot slice make a great tree!

I was inspired by my friend Wendy's very useful post,  12 Ideas for Fun Christmas LunchesHer great ideas and fun photos will make you immediately say "I could do that", which is how I ended up with this easy and fun lunch!

And here are some of the things I used to make this lunch, and where you can buy them:

    1. thanks Wendy, and thanks for your great ideas - which is where I got my inspiration 🙂

  1. Oh, how I love those kiwi stars...awesome!!! And, the Christmas Tree is adorable.

  2. What a beautiful lunch! I love seeing ideas for non sandwiches! It makes me want to have Greek for dinner (that feta!) and I try and make enough for leftovers, but I run into problems with popular dinners...my kids want seconds and they eat what I would pack for lunch! LOL. Those tuna stars ARE great!
